ビザ・マスタのフィンテック会社買収・投資は止まらない

ビザの2018年度年間報告書でのフィンテックに関する記述箇所はマスタに比べ多い。

Visa is also investing in fintech companies across the world that we believe are in line with our vision and strategic objectives, support deeper engagement with key partners, and expand access to payment solutions worldwide. A few months ago, Visa launched a $100 million investment program to support start-up businesses in the digital payments and commerce arenas.

曖昧というか形式的な文章表現なので具体的に何をするかは、はっきりしていない。

かといって、マスタがフィンテック企業を買収していないかというと、そうではない。
VocalLinkを、9.2億ドルで買収しているし、 Vyze Inc.、 Ethoca Inc、Transfastも買収。

ビザもマスタもフィンテック会社の青田刈りは止まらなさそうだ。
